A few months ago, the Disney corporation went viral for using their Disney+ terms and conditions to deny a proper court hearing for a family bringing a wrongful death lawsuit against a Disney park. Now, a different company is trying a similar tactic; this time it's Uber.

In 2022, a New Jersey couple was injured in a crash when their Uber driver ran a red light, and was hit from the side. The couple went on to sue Uber, but they discovered that the terms and conditions for a different Uber Eats order meant that the best they could hope for was arbitration. Until the courts put an end to this evil trick, it would appear that massive companies have found a legal loophole to combat lawsuits.
